你好 nǐ hǎo
“hello” — stroke-order animation and a free printable 田字格 practice sheet below.
Stroke order: 你好
Each character loops its stroke order using the open-source hanzi-writer dataset. Watch a few loops, then trace it on paper — that's how handwriting sticks.

Writing notes
The very first word every learner writes. 你 (person + bow) and 好 (woman + child) are both perfect starter characters: few strokes, clear structure, and they fill a tianzige grid beautifully.
Why a paper sheet instead of an app? HSK 1 exams test writing from memory, not tapping. Muscle memory for 你好 comes from tracing it in tianzige grids until the proportions land inside the cross guides every time — usually ten to twenty printed repetitions.
